Already upping the ante, the Apple Store has reduced its prices on refurbished 20-inch and 24-inch iMacs, some by as much as $250.

Though the “refurbished” phrase can be a bit disconcerting, each refurbished iMac is tested and certified by Apple and includes a 1-year warranty.

Still not convinced? Well, if speculation regarding Apple’s Black Friday sale is true, you just might be able to find a new iMac at a discounted price. However, the likelihood of getting a new iMac for under $1000 is very unlikely.
